Just like you wouldn’t trust your $1,000 suit to just any old corner dry cleaners, so too should you be discriminating in whom you trust to service your Porsche. Here at Hance’s European, we have been serving the needs of our high-end European vehicle customers for more than 10 years as your expert auto mechanics. We know the blood, sweat and tears you’ve put in in order to become the proud owner of a Porsche. Trusting its care to anyone who doesn’t work on high-end cars like yours would be putting your vehicle at risk.
Because we have knowledge of high-end foreign cars, we give you access to practical experience within a specialty shop as a result of seeing, troubleshooting and repairing Porsche issues every single day. Fortunately, the great thing about owning a Porsche is that repair isn’t needed all that often. Featuring smooth handling, streamlined designs and optimal performance, Porsche is a brand not many people get to say they’ve driven — much less owned.
Forbes puts it as well as anyone can: owning a high-end foreign car is all about emotional connections that people can make with a brand and how it makes you feel. Nothing is truer than with a Porsche.
Maintenance Guidelines
Of course, in order to enjoy that top-10 performance level, you’ll need to keep up with regular service and maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer. If you keep up with regular maintenance, you can ensure your Porsche runs the way it should, with optimal efficiency that you’ve come to know and love about Porsche. This is a general guideline; you should always refer to your owner’s manual or call your specialty shop to find out the timeline for your specific make and model.
- Change Engine Oil and Filter: Every 10,000 – 20,000 miles
- Change Spark Plugs: Every 24,000 – 60,000 miles
- Change Air Filter: Every 24,000 – 80,000 miles
- Change Brake Fluid: Every 2 years
- Replace Drive Belt: Every 60,000 miles
- Replace Tire Sealant: Every 4 years
The above guidelines apply to normal use. However, if you have more of a showroom-style Porsche that you don’t drive all that often, you may be able to let some of these milestones go a little further. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep up with regular maintenance. And likewise, if you use your Porsche for above-average use, such as aggressive driving on dusty back roads, you’ll need to change things out more frequently.
A good guideline is minor maintenance every 20,000, 60,000 and 100,000 miles, and major maintenance every 40,000, 80,000 and 120,000 miles. For all this and more, Hance’s European can address your specific Porsche needs.
